Senior Systems Administrator

We're seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to provide high quality technical support to maintain reliability, security, and performance across our Council's technology environment. From troubleshooting complex issues to optimising system efficiency, you'll play a vital role in keeping everything connected and secure.

What You'll be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Administer Microsoft Entra, Intune, and the 365 stack, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and ensure the end-user fleet is performing well.
- Oversee IT equipment maintenance, including network devices, printers, and meeting room setups.
- Monitor system security, apply patches, and ensure compliance with cyber security and risk requirements.
About You
Key to the success of this role is having:
- Advanced knowledge in administering IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Entra, Intune, 365 stack, and Windows Server, with proven experience in managing network security and cloud-based systems (Azure, MSSQL).
- Expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices and end-user hardware.
- Strong experience in identity management, systems software, and implementing security protocols.
- Skilled in automating IT operations, disaster recovery planning, and maintaining data protection standards.
- Fortinet certification (NSE Level 4 or higher) or 3+ years of experience with Fortinet is a plus.
