Revenue Operations Officer

Following an internal promotion, we're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Revenue Operations Officer to take the lead on water billing, rates administration, and the rates rebate scheme. This permanent, full-time position can be based in either Dargaville or Mangawhai and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the smooth delivery of essential services across Kaipara.

What you'll be doing:

This role presents the chance to work across a variety of functions and contribute meaningfully to the delivery of key services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end water billing process, including maintaining master records, issuing invoices, and coordinating with contractors for meter reads.
  • Process water and rating adjustments, penalties, and remissions in line with approved procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate rating data and support to ratepayers, solicitors, and other external parties.
  • Assist with direct debit processes and sundry debtor invoicing and adjustments.
  • Administer the rates rebate scheme and support the Revenue Officer - Property as required.

What you'll bring:

We're looking for someone with:

  • 2-4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within local government or a related environment.
  • Experience with rating or accounting systems, plus general accounts receivable and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Strong time management, adaptability, and the ability to build great relationships across teams and with external parties.
  • Financial literacy and a customer-first approach to service delivery.
