Assistant Librarian - Fixed Term

We're looking for a passionate and community-minded Assistant Librarian to join our team at the Dargaville Library. About the Opportunity

As an Assistant Librarian, you'll be part of a team that truly lives our values and goes above and beyond to connect with the community. You'll assist patrons with digital literacy, help them find their next great read, explore opportunities through our Tutu collection, and support holiday programmes and events. Whether you're interacting with customers in person, via email, or over the phone, you'll deliver a welcoming and efficient frontline customer service that leaves a lasting impression.

About you

We are looking for applicants who love books and reading, demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent service, and can easily connect with people from all walks of life.

You'll be confident using computers, comfortable handling a wide range of information requests, and bring 1-2 years of experience in a library or similar customer service environment.
